the spunky new group rael features the multi-hued talents of composer/dancer david minor and composer/painter me raabenstein. their pasts meet in one wide-open musical space, creating countless new experiences for each listener. rael’s music is designed with patience; each phrase sculpted, layered and a crafty-taffy construction. ‘frame 1-3’ is the first of a three pare ep series, exploring the precambrian lucidity to rael’s musical message.  it is something of cathartic, post-impotent crud, begging the function of dancers sprightly feet to drag upon. rael stretches duby rhythms to careful extremes, while the danceable bounces of their melodies play sprightly games atop one another. rapacious outbursts of tearing beats brushes ones chastity and, bearded melodies bundled in fictitious musical movements arouse the rampant ego…
